WHAT IS A GOLDEN SAMMY?

Golden Sammies are a relatively newer designer dog that originated in the 2000s, consisting of the Golden Retriever and the Samoyed. The name comes from Golden Retriever (Golden) and Samoyed (Sammy).

Their weight ranges from 50-75 lbs. Personality wise, they are loyal companions that are energetic and playful, yet are easy to train.

Regarding their look, this mix maintains the face and size of the Golden Retriever with the soft, luscious coat of a Samoyed.

Golden Sammies are more commonly found in Scandinavian countries and in Australia.

Similar to Golden Doodles, Golden Sammies are a more allergy-friendly mix than many others, due to the hypoallergenic nature of the Samoyed.
